Bumper Cars

Recently the driving center emailed me to tell me I had a place

I emailed back in rage to repeat that by that date I’d be gone with haste.

They then rang to apologize for their mistakeful ways

And offered me a place within the next few days!

I’m now on edge to get out on the streets and get up to 5th gear,

Behind the wheel with bountiful confidence and no fretful fear.

I think I have managed to stop crying every time I sit in the car

Which is quite useful since tears prevent me from seeing afar.

I’m taking a like to the wreckless drivers and the dangerous roads,

I’ve even joined in by blaring out music lots and loads!

So here I go trying to pass for the first time

If it looks like I’m going to fail I might just bust out this rhyme…
